SQ3R (or SQRRR) is a reading comprehension method named for its five steps: survey, question, read, recite, and review. The method was introduced by Francis Pleasant Robinson in his 1946 book, Effective Study. The method was created for college students.
Now, let’s explore the Process of Reading that we will be using this entire term.
Watch the following videos on SQ3R before moving forward. Make sure you take LOTS notes of all the before (Survey/Question), during (Read), and after (Recite/Review) "strategies" used in this reading process while you watch the videos:
