CVC-OEI Standard	Baseline Alignment
B1: Pre-Course Contact	Instructor initiates contact prior to or at the beginning of course.
B2: Regular Substantive Interaction	The course design includes regular instructor-initiated contact with students using Canvas communication tools such as Announcements, Inbox, Speedgrader, a Question and Answer Discussion Board, and/or Pronto, and a clear explanation for students of when and how communication will happen.
B3: Student-Initiated Contact	Students are encouraged to initiate contact with the instructor through easily accessed contact information on the course Homepage and in the Syllabus, including email address and regularly scheduled Office Hours. Expected response times to emails are stated.
B4: Student-Initiated Contact with Other Students	Informal Opportunities for unstructured student initiated interaction with other students are available and encouraged - such as activating Pronto.
B5: Regular Substantive Interaction Among Students	Formal Regular and substantive interaction among students is designed to facilitate interaction with and about course content.
B6: Participation Levels	Guidelines explaining required levels of student participation (i.e., quantity and quality of interactions) are consistently provided.
